How to Log In — Web
Visit the official BlockFi login page and enter your registered email address and password. Always confirm the URL begins with https:// and shows the padlock icon before entering credentials.
Open the Login Page
Go to blockfi.com/login (or your company's verified domain). Avoid links from unsolicited emails.
Enter Credentials
Type your email and password. Use a password manager to avoid keyloggers and phishing typosquatting sites.
Complete 2FA
If two-factor authentication is enabled, enter the code from your authenticator app or SMS. For stronger security, prefer an authenticator app (TOTP) over SMS.
Mobile App Login
Open the official BlockFi app on iOS or Android, tap Sign In, enter credentials, then confirm 2FA if required. Enable biometric unlock (Face ID / fingerprint) for faster, secure access on personal devices.
Forgot Password — Recovery
If you forget your password, use the Forgot password flow on the login page. You’ll receive a password-reset link at your registered email. If you do not receive the email, check spam folders and ensure your address is correct.
- Do not share reset links or one-time codes with anyone.
- Use a strong, unique password after resetting.
- Consider enabling an authenticator app if you used SMS previously.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Enable 2FA in your account security settings to add a critical layer of protection. Recommended options:
- Authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator) — most secure.
- Hardware 2FA (YubiKey) — best for advanced users.
- SMS — available but less secure; use only if no other option.
Troubleshooting Login Issues
- Check your internet connection and disable VPN/proxy if login fails.
- Clear browser cache / try an incognito window if pages act up.
- Ensure you’re using the official app or site — phishing sites often mimic brand design.
- If 2FA device is lost, follow the account recovery process provided by BlockFi support (identity verification required).
Security Best Practices
- Use a unique, complex password and a password manager.
- Never share OTPs, recovery codes, or backup phrases with anyone.
- Keep devices and apps updated to the latest versions.
- Prefer authenticator apps or hardware keys over SMS for 2FA.
- Review account activity regularly and enable alerts where available.
